The sponsored enterprise

The first few years of an enterprise are crucial.  Facts indicate that most of new enterprises do not pass the first five years mark.  It is with the aim of increasing their chances of succeeding, that the Entrepreneurship Foundation and its partners set up to create a sponsored network for entrepreneurs in Quebec.

A sponsored entrepreneur is:

  • a new entrepreneur who has owned his business for less than five years and employs at least one employee, besides the owner;

  • an entrepreneur who wishes to move in the right direction, learn and develop his capacities with the help and aid of an experienced entrepreneur (the mentor);

  • an entrepreneur quite aware that he needs help.

A mentor, an essential resourceful person to help you:

  • clarify your objectives;

  • validate your choices;

  • discover new prospects;

  • broaden your connections network;

  • go through the entrepreneur’s life highs and lows.
